In a monstrous world of hallucinations, wax dolls and artificial people takes place the performance GOLEM - a wandering journey towards a feverish dissolution of the self. A puppet theatre performance based on Gustav Meyrink's classic novel of the same name.
We are in a place where the kingdom of the dead intrudes upon the realm of the living, and where our visible world is constantly haunted by the other, the invisible. Here dreams are dreamed by other dreams and nightmares are forgotten in the hearts of other nightmares.
We follow Athanasius Pernath as he desperately tries to regain the ability to distinguish between dream and reality. With sets and puppets, a unique atmosphere is created, inspired by both pulp magazines and silent film aesthetics. Welcome to Malmö Dockteater's second production.
